Is Proximus EU-sovereign?

Yes. Proximus is operated from Belgium, has no non-EU parent company and runs its own infrastructure, so staysin.eu classifies it as EU-sovereign.

How staysin.eu classifies Proximus

A provider counts as EU only when all three criteria hold:

  1. Country: the operating company is based in the EU. Proximus is operated from Belgium (EU).
  2. Holding: no non-EU parent or holding company. Proximus has no non-EU parent.
  3. Own infrastructure: it runs its own stack rather than reselling a non-EU service. Proximus runs its own infrastructure.

Where a server physically sits is shown on each check but does not change the verdict: legal reach follows who controls the processing, not where the bytes are. Read the methodology.
